Anil Mehta, step-father of Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora, jumped off his balcony and committed suicide. The incident happened on 11th September, Wednesday. This has left the entire Arora family in shock.
As per reports, he had called both his daughters and confessed that he felt sick and tired before he jumped off from the sixth floor of the Ayesha Manor building in Bandra.
The well-known reality show judge, Malaika Arora, took to her social media and dropped a post where she sorrowfully announced the untimely demise of her father and humbly requested the media for privacy as it is quite a challenging situation for her and her family.
In full appreciation for her father, she wrote that her father was always a gentle soul, a dedicated grandfather, a loving husband, and a friend to both his daughters.
His last rites started at the Santacruz Hindu crematorium. His family and their friends have already reached there. Several people from the B-Town were seen attending the last rites and trying to comfort the two sisters in their difficult times.
Malaika was out in Pune when this incident happened and managed to reach her father’s residence when she got to know about her father’s demise. Amrita Arora was too spotted reaching there.
Malaika’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, was also spotted. He was one of the first few to visit them as soon as the news broke. He attended the funeral with his wife, Sshura Khan.
Arhaan Khan was seen comforting his grandmother. Salim Khan and Salma Khan also offered their condolence to Malaika’s late father.
Malaika Arora’s ex-boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor, was also seen at the spot when he got Malaika Arora’s father’s news. Other celebrities from Bollywood were also present.
Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram to criticize the paparazzi for being so insensitive to pointing out cameras at the Arora family at such a critical time.
However, the police are still carrying out the investigation. They have sent the body for postmortem, although the prime face, it looks like a suicide.
