Amid the controversy over the tweets of Kanye West and Taylor Swift, country star Zach Bryan made a blunder in his X (formerly Twitter) account. On September 18, Bryan shared a provocative message: ‘Eagles > Chiefs, Kanye > Taylor. Who’s with me!’ This statement angered Swift fans and there was widespread discontentment regarding the post.
The post was made particularly aiming at the singer’s aspects. This includes her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Travis Kelce is not only the boyfriend of Swift but also an American football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL.
The Swift fans came to Taylor’s defense; some comments were, “He knew not to mess with the Swifties” and “Got all brave just to wimp out and deactivate. ”
However, Bryan’s Instagram is still active to this date; he recently developed an interest in Kanye West’s songs. Zach Bryan’s Instagram Stories showcase his current musical obsession with Kanye West.
The top four stories feature classic Ye tracks, including “Good Life” featuring T-Pain from the 2007 album Graduation, and three songs from Ye’s 2018 album: “I Thought About Killing You,” “All Mine,” and “Ghost Town” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR. These song choices reveal Bryan’s appreciation for Kanye West’s discography.
There has been a growth in the Eagles–Chiefs NFL rivalry, especially after the 2023 Super Bowl. The rivalry heated up in the past few years when Travis Kelce had a face-off against his brother, Jason Kelce, who is now retired, and Philly Squad. But, in the 2023 Super Bowl, Kansas City won.
Also, there is a bitter rivalry between Swift and West, dating back to 2009 when West interrupted Swift while she was on stage receiving her award and delivering her speech during the Video Music Awards (VMAs). He felt that Beyoncé deserved the award more than Taylor Swift.
They were married for some time, and there was some unlikely friendship between the two. West’s lyrical content in ‘Famous,’ and then his then-wife Kim Kardashian releasing a leaked phone call between the two musicians fuelled the controversy.
The rivalry continues; here West tried to attack Kelce – Swift’s boyfriend in Vulture’s 2 albums in one of his albums; Swift in reciprocating her reply restyled a song titled ‘Thank You aimEe. ’ The fire that Bryan lit with his tweet was the cause of his X account deactivation.
Zach Bryan also deleted his previous tweet that showed he was hating Taylor Swift but he said that he loves her. He also pointed that his message was posted while he had been drunk and was listening to, The Tortured Poets Department. Bryan tweeted: “Guys I love Taylor”.
He went on to add that he likes both artists immensely. The song he referred to is seen as a response to all the accusations put against Swift by Kim Kardashian. However, he makes his apology for making such an offensive post on his X account.
